Our Curriculum

The goal of every Seek and Find study is to teach students the fundamental skills they need to effectively study the Bible for themselves. Through our curriculum, we instruct students in the discipline of Bible study and create space for women to disciple each other in and through the study of God’s word.

Core characteristics of our curriculum

Seek and Find studies are grounded by and rooted in the Biblical text. We work our way, word-for-word, through portions of the Bible (generally one book at a time) because we understand the centrality of context in our ability to rightly understand Scripture.

Seek and Find studies keep the point of the Bible at the center of our study. We believe God-Centered Bible study to be a powerful means through which we draw near to Him. Because the Bible is a book about God, we train our students to look first for what God says and does in every portion of Scripture.

Seek and Find studies require the learner to actually spend time in Scripture - physically navigating their way through its pages. We believe that becoming more familiar with the Bible is an invaluable way to increase a learner’s confidence as they study it.

Seek and Find studies keep the big picture narrative of the Bible in view. The Bible tells the most epic story of all time. Understanding the big picture of this one story is crucial to accurately understanding each individual book and story contained within its pages.

Seek and Find studies address the interconnectedness of the Old and New Testaments. We are diligent in highlighting the person and work of Jesus Christ in all of our studies.  We use the New Testament text to assist in interpreting the Old Testament, and vice versa.

Seek and Find studies deal humbly and honestly with theological issues and sensitive topics by sticking closely to what can be clearly gleaned from Scripture.

Seek and Find studies train students to recognize the Lord speaking directly and personally to them through the pages of Scripture.  We then consistently challenge students to consider how they will respond in faith to His leading.

Seek and Find studies encourage and equip learners to study the Bible on their own.
