Christi Davis
Christi and her husband, Kyle, have been married for 16 years and have three children. Christi graduated from Penn State University with degrees in Finance and International Business and minors in Spanish and Japanese languages. She received her M.B.A. from the University of Maryland. In the 10 years before having children, Christi worked for Lockheed Martin in the Washington, D.C. area. She has worked in Program Finance, Business Development, Risk Management, and Program Management. Christi has served 12 years on the Board of New Hope Initiative, a Christian non-profit dedicated to alleviating physical and spiritual poverty around the world. Christi leads and teaches Bible Study at her home church, Church Project, in The Woodlands, TX. Before this, Christi came to know the Bible through consistently reading it on her own. She believes the Word of God is living and active and must be read differently from all other books. By reading through the Bible (over and over again!), looking for what stands out or comes to mind later, we learn to recognize the Spirit of God leading, directing, and teaching us personally and directly. This also promotes a balanced view of Scripture, where our theology better aligns with the whole of the Word of God. She is passionate about encouraging and equipping believers to grow in their Bible literacy by reading and studying the Bible both in community and on their own.
