April O’Brien
April was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, where she met and married her husband of 22 years, Michael. Together, they have a daughter, Emma (21), and a son, Noah (18). She received her Ph.D. from Clemson University in Rhetoric and Technical Communication and now is an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University. Her profession is split between teaching and research, which she is thrilled to use in service of Seek and Find as well. When her family moved to The Woodlands in 2019, they started attending Church Project, and since that time, April has been involved in the women's bible study as an attendee, video editor, and more recently, as content contributor for the Seek and Find studies. April serves as an ESL teacher on Thursday nights at Church Project, where she creates and teaches English lessons to our newest neighbors. She is deeply committed to loving and serving the body of Christ and using the gifts and abilities that God has given her.
